Peking University, Mar. 14, 2014: Professor Zhan Xiaowei from College of Engineering, PKU, was conferred Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) recently.
Founded in 1841, Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is the oldest and one of the world's leading chemistry communities, devoted to advancing excellence in the chemical sciences. Only scientists who have made extraordinary achievements in the research and development of the chemistry sciences are qualified.
Professor Zhan is currently a faulty member of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. His research interests focus on design and synthesis of conjugated organics and polymers, and organic electronics and photonics. He has published 145 peer-reviewed papers in quality journals, which were cited more than 5300 times by SCI. He was awarded National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2010 and Excellence Prize of 100 Talents Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. He has been Associate Editor for Journal of Materials Chemistry since 2013.
