[Beijing 2022 Olympics] Visit the Dual Olympic City Beijing through Subway Stations

Peking University, February 12, 2022: Following the heat of the Beijing Olympics, Olympic Park subway station would make a popular destination. With the Fuwa-decorated ceiling lights and "Chinese Olympic Dream" wall, the Chinese cultural elements are seamlessly woven into the station decorations. There are many other stations that encompass other unique cultural elements as well. Hop on and take a ride with us in the video, students from PKU School of Journalism and Communication will be taking you to see the beauty hidden in the various Beijing subway stations!
You may find yourself pausing the video to see the artwork as each gives off a charm that entices you to stop by.
For instance, you might pause when you see the burnt ink Chinese painting "The Great Wall of Yanshan" in the Xizhimen Station;
Or the main characters from the Dream of Red Mansion being embedded in the Qing dynasty table plaque-shaped shadows in Ciqi Kou Station;
Or the Beihai Park artwork in Beihai North Station that exhibits Chinese imperial garden architecture;
Or the gorgeous fresco in Yonghegong Station that has Chinese traditional motifs on it and the carved guardrails of Chinese white jade.
All of them showcase attraction in their own way, but in different ways they speak the same: the beauty of the Chinese culture elements. They are not just a symbol of a culture but figure when put together, breathes a one-of-a-kind oriental charm. And this could be seen in subway stations every day!
