School of Physics wins two 2021 Science Bulletin Excellence Awards

Peking University, April 19, 2022: Recently, Science Bulletin announced the 2021 annual awards. The School of Physics of Peking University (PKU) has won an outstanding editorial board award and a high-impact paper award. Namely, Lin Jintai, a tenured associate professor of the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, was awarded the 2021 outstanding editorial board member. The LHCb Collaboration’s paper, “Observation of structure in the J/Ψ-pair mass spectrum” (doi: 10.1016/j.scib.2020.08.032), won the annual high-impact paper. Zhang Yanxi, assistant professor at the Department of Technical Physics and the State Key Laboratory of Nuclear Physics and Technology, is the main participant of the research work.
Science Bulletin (formerly known as Chinese Science Bulletin) is a multidisciplinary academic journal supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and co-sponsored by the CAS and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Science Bulletin is a semi-monthly international journal publishing high-caliber peer-reviewed research on a broad range of natural sciences and high-tech fields on the basis of its originality, scientific significance and whether it is of general interest. In addition, Science Bulletin committed to serving the scientific community with immediate, authoritative news and valuable insights into upcoming trends around the globe. The journal’s current editor in chief is Academician Wang Enge from International Center for Quantum Materials and CAS. It has an impact factor of 11.78 in 2020, ranking seventh among 71 multidisciplinary comprehensive journals in the world, and ranking the top in the Q1 area of the Journal Citation Report (JCR).
The selection aims to thank and commend the editorial board and reviewers for their outstanding contributions to the promotion of the journal's influence, enhance the sense of responsibility and honor of scientists involved in running the journal, and strengthen the role of motivation and demonstration.
