Peking University Team Clinches National Programming Championship

Peking University, May, 8, 2026: Students from Peking University (PKU) claimed the championship title at the finals of the 11th China Collegiate Programming Contest (CCPC), delivering a standout performance against some of China’s best university programmers.

The winning team featured Guo Yuchong, Shen Jiyu, and Chen Xinyang from the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science. Demonstrating strong technical expertise and seamless teamwork, the trio secured first place ahead of teams from Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University, which finished second and third respectively.

Held in Nanyang, Henan from April 25 to 26, the competition drew more than 130 teams and over 400 contestants from 107 universities across the country. Participants faced five hours of intense programming challenges under a real-time ranking system that tested problem-solving, logical reasoning, and coding skills.

The team was coached by Professor Luo Guojie from Peking University’s School of Computer Science, with Zhang Qinjian from the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science serving as assistant coach.
