Tian Zhiyu is an assistant professor at Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research and a participant of the Thousand Talents Program for Distinguished Young Scholars. His main fields of research include algebraic geometry, symplectic geometry and number theory.
Wang Xiao
Wang Xiao is an assistant professor at College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering and Biomedical Pioneering Innovation Center. While doing undergraduate research, Wang Xiao published a JACS article and a Chem Mater article as the first author. During her time as a Chemistry Ph.D. student at the University of Chicago, she focused on the chemical modification of messenger RNA. In her postdoctoral studies, her research interest was in measuring and redesigning RNA molecules to address important neurological problems.
Hu Jiazhi
Hu Jiazhi is an assistant professor at the School of Life Sciences and a participant of the Thousand Talents Program for Distinguished Young Scholars. He made an important contribution to the fields of lymphocyte development, maintenance of genomic stability and the mechanism of lymphoma.
“Qui Shi Outstanding Young Scholar Award” was established in 1995 to promote outstanding young scholars engaged in basic research. In 2013, Qiu Shi Foundation launched a new program to support domestic universities for cultivating talents for China's scientific and technological development in the next 20 years. Since then, 14 young scholars from Peking University have been selected for this program.
